South Dakota Report Card

Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI)/Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) Status

School Improvement Plans

The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) is the current assessment used for all students in RCAS in grades 3-8 for ELA and Math. South Dakota Science Assessment is delivered to grades 5, 8, and 11, and the ACT measures our current 11th grade for growth. These assessments comprise the South Dakota State Report Card handed down to each district with the individual district scores measuring academic growth, attendance, completer rate (graduation). The Report Card represents the scores of students who were continuously enrolled in a single district from Oct. 1 to the last day of the testing window.  The Assessment Report represents the scores of all students in a district or school – not just those who completed the full academic year.
